"One of the most important things Alan did was to make us aware of the fact we must be kinder to ourselves - so incredibly helpful. When I struggled with meditation, he pointed out that my awareness meant I was doing it properly so I could relax and gain the benefits. I have put his teachings into my everyday life and it has helped not only me but my understanding of my husband's triggers and given me the tools to manage situations in a productive way. I have enjoyed sharing Mindfulness with him and we have had positive outcomes. Of course it is something we have to practise and get used to and there are so many evolving threads to Mindfulness. It is a fascinating subject! I am so pleased we are to keep in touch as a group. We have all bonded and there is a strong feeling of care, understanding and empathy between us - the monthly meet-ups and peer support will be invaluable moving forward."

"The atmosphere Alan created was very welcoming, it eased any anxiety I was
feeling and I appreciated working with like minded people.
We covered stress in your body and being aware. Trying to change old predictable
behaviour and create a new pathways to be able to react in a more positive way.
Watched inspired videos. Early days but I was able to put this into practice. We also
practiced breathing techniques and meditation ,having experienced this before it
reinforced the experience.
Very informative and enjoyable."

"I recently attended a mindfulness course with Alan, and it was great. Alan had a
very welcoming approaching and as someone completely new to mindfulness, he
was very welcoming and easy to listen to.

Over the course, I have taken away great techniques and advice on how to
beneficially adapt my thoughts and become more in tune with my anxiety and my
mind.

During the course I have understood how our body works in relation to our mind
and have been able to relate and practice many techniques Alan taught us to find
ways which work for me.
I had never meditated before and over the course of the 6 weeks I found myself
relaxing into it a lot more and enjoying it.
I recommend anyone to try this course as something for yourself. A time to tune in
with yourself and just feel and see how you are and take away great resources to
help yourself and create a calmer more happy you.

Alan makes sure its a safe space for you to share or not to share any thoughts or
feelings during the course, and is always there if you need anything.
Thanks Alan!"

"Alan's gentle and thoughtful personality infuses every aspect of the mindfulness
course making it easy to access and engage with the materials offered. His kind,
considerate, and non-judgmental approach creates a safe space in which people
open up and address the issues that are bothering them. I have learned many new
and valuable ways to help me in my mindfulness practice. Thank you Alan!"

"I wish to say that I listened to the Rainbow meditation all this time in the grief of my mother
passing. Thank you.
Since then I dream of vivid colours, all by themselves... as if visiting or calling to the
rainbow linked me to the World Soul in some way."

"I have always been intrigued by the concept of Mindfulness and how it works whilst
feeling a little sceptical. I have had episodes of stress in the past from time to time
but last year, a personal tragedy rocked my world and changed my life.
Realising I was struggling, when the opportunity arose to join Alan's Mindfulness
course, I took it, hoping it may help in some way.
I was a little nervous at first as it was totally new to me but as soon as I entered the
room I was made to feel welcome and safe.

As the weeks have gone by, I have experienced many emotions and learnt so much
about myself. Alan's teachings, guidance and expertise has been meaningful,
uplifting, intriguing and so relatable. The notebooks were a bonus as I like to write
thoughts and information I can re-visit. I especially gained a lot from the imagery
Alan used such as the shooting arrows, the videos, the team exercises and
meditation sessions. It all makes so much sense so, in turn, helps me to make
sense of my reactions to things and therefore put into practice coping strategies
which have been real "lightbulb" moments."

"Alan’s mindfulness course has been inspirational in many ways for someone like
me who seeks high achievement targets for each day, only to be hard on myself for
only completing a few of these tasks on my list. He has calmly taken us through the
interesting weekly sessions, helping us to relax and open up by talking, so that we
all end up feeling so much better. I can't thank you enough."

"An easy clear intro to mindfulness and practical strategies to be used from the start.
He helped us to understand about our thoughts and how they have a physical
impact on our bodies. How to manage day to day occurrences. The recourses
compliment the sessions, I particularly liked the example of the glitter jar as our

thoughts . Many thanks Alan"

"Alan has a lovely way in which he runs the sessions and i felt instantly at
ease and relaxed when he spoke to us all.
The sessions allowed me to focus on me and my thoughts along with
learning additional ways to be calm and at one that I hadn't used when
doing meditation before.
Group discussions were a great way to see how others see things and
often compare to how I see things. There has been some really good
recordings that we have watched that led to some interesting discussions
too.
I highly recommend these sessions to others I know and as more than a
life luxury but almost as a necessity to help us navigate the stresses of
day to day life. Also these being at a more affordable price allowed me to
come along which maybe I wouldn't have been able to do if they were at
a higher price.
Sessions like these are fantastic allowing each person to take what they
need from it and as I have mentioned to Alan at the start are also so
needed for youngsters too."

"Can I say a big thank you to everyone in the group for making me
feel so welcome, your feedback, comments and warmth have lifted
my spirits considerably and have without doubt helped my healing
journey from CPTSD and PTSD. Also a big thank you to Alan, not
only for the big effort to put on these classes, but for his
considerable effort to help me in my hour of need prior to starting
these classes. He is a true inspiration. I hope we can all help Alan
keep the connect group expanding and getting as many people
informed of just how necessary for happiness slowing down and
noticing what important really is."
